Restock Radar — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 6, 2026
Restock Radar ("Restock Radar", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Bud Rose Studios, provides a Shopify app that helps merchants decide what inventory to reorder and when. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to the Restock Radar app installed from the Shopify App Store.
The short version
Restock Radar reads your store's products, inventory levels, and sales (orders) to calculate reorder recommendations. We do not store your customers' personal information. We keep only what's needed to run the app — your store's address, an access token, and your reorder settings — and we delete it when you uninstall.
Information we access
When you install Restock Radar, you grant it read-only access to the following through Shopify's API:
- Products and variants — titles, SKUs, and related catalog data, to identify what to reorder.
- Inventory levels — current stock on hand, to know how much you have.
- Orders — used only to measure how fast each product sells (sales velocity). We read order line items and quantities; we do not collect or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, or payment information.
Information we store
We store the minimum needed to operate the app:
- Your store domain and a Shopify access token (so the app can call Shopify on your behalf).
- Your app settings — lead time, safety stock, and sales-window preferences.
We do not store order contents, customer personal data, or product/inventory snapshots beyond what's needed to display your current recommendations during a session.
How we use information
Solely to provide the app's functionality: calculating reorder recommendations, days of stock remaining, projected stockout dates, suggested order quantities, and CSV exports. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with service providers that host and operate the app: Shopify (the platform your store and our app run on), DigitalOcean (cloud hosting for the app and its database), and Cloudflare (DNS and network delivery). These providers process data on our behalf to run the service, and we may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your store's data only while the app is installed. When you uninstall the app, or when Shopify sends us a shop redaction request, we delete your stored data (access token and settings) from our systems. Because we don't store customer personal data, there is no customer data to erase in response to customer data-request or redaction webhooks; we honor those requests as required.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Your Shopify access token is kept confidential and used only to serve your store.
Your rights
Depending on where you operate, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA). You can exercise most of these by uninstalling the app (which deletes your stored data) or by contacting us at the address below.
Children's privacy
Restock Radar is a business tool for Shopify merchants and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, notifying merchants.
